At Best In Show Maidstone your pet is important to us and We always do everything we possibly can to make sure you pet’s time in the salon is as pleasant as possible.
Occasionally grooming can expose a previously hidden medical issue, or aggravate a current one. This can happen during or after grooming. Best In Show will not be responsible for any pre-existing conditions or problems discovered during grooming. If a vet is required I agree to pay all associated fees and costs. If my pet’s vet is not available, I authorise Best In Show to use its chosen vet..
I have disclosed & continue to disclose on a ongoing basis, any & all medical or other conditions or behaviour issues that may affect my pet. The groomer will not be held liable or responsible for irritation, abrasion, patchiness, or coat loss due to any pre-existing skin condition, or any mishap caused by non-disclosure of my pets medical condition or behaviour.
De-Matting Policy: In accordance with The Animal Welfare Act 2006 that pets Need to be protected from Pain, Suffering, Injury or Disease, heavily matted dogs will be clipped off short to avoid pain, distress & discomfort rather than perform a lengthy, painful de-matting procedure. I agree to pay a heavily matted fee of £20 as clipping a heavily matted dog adds extra time and extra wear and to equipment.. Best In Show will not be liable for any after-grooming effects of de-matting, or problems uncovered on a badly matted or otherwise neglected coat including, but not limited to, skin redness, itchiness, or self-inflicted irritations from excessive external scratching or rubbing. Time and costs associated with de-matting are unpredictable. I agree to pay whatever fees are incurred as a result of de-matting. Whether a dog is matted is at the sole discretion of Best In Show. Any de-matting needed in the odd area that can be removed without causes pain and suffering is charged a £1 a minute. This is due to the extra work, time, products these dogs will require to groom. Severely matted dog that need to be clipped short will incur a £20 de-matting charge.
Fleas: Dogs found to have fleas will incur an extra charge of £15 due to having to treat the dog with a flea shampoo and having to treat salon to reduce cross contamination.
Pricing: All prices are based on regular grooming appointments based on their breeds recommended schedule.
I only offer appointments to customers that rebook appointments in advance and stick to their breeds recommended schedule, Unless they opt for a short all over style of say 1cm length or less therefore these dogs can go longer between appointments.
Eg poodle crossbreeds, miniature schnauzers, or similar breeds need to be on a 4 to 6 weeks schedule rebooked in advance dependant on coat length and style. If you wish to go longer or need last minute appointments, I am unfortunately unable to offer you an appointment in the future unless you have opted for a short all over style say 1cm length.
Pomeranians Will need to be on a 4-to-6-week schedule dependant on coat type and how well you can maintain their coat at home. Pomeranians that aren’t on this schedule or need one-off appointments unfortunately I am unable to offer you appointments.
If for any reason Dogs have a lot of coat due to going over their recommended schedule will be £5 per week extra charge for each week they are over their recommended schedule.
Missed appointments or late cancellations: Best In Show operates a strict policy on missed appointments or late cancellations. I agree to that if I need to change an appointment, I will notify Best In Show no less than 48 hours before the booked appointment. If insufficient notice is given or an appointment is missed, I agree to pay 100% of the estimated grooming charges to cover loss of earnings. Any deposits pain are non-refundable unless 48 hrs notice is given.
Please drop off/pick up at the stated time. Any dogs arriving late may have to be rebooked and a late fee will apply to cover loss of earnings. Late collected dogs will be charged a sitting fee.
